Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, took fans on an emotional roller coaster ride with his latest updates.
On November 26, Taehyung posted a photo to his Instagram story showing huge cut hair strands lying on the ground, accompanied by an emoji of a man getting a haircut.
The photo led fans and the media to speculate that he had shaved his head in preparation for his upcoming mandatory military enlistment. As of yet, no set date for his enlistment has been revealed
Eight hours later, Taehyung held a Weverse Live session and updated fans on his recent whereabouts. His appearance instantly dispelled rumors that he had shaved his head or gotten a buzzcut.
Wearing a mischievous smile, Taehyung started the live session by addressing what was on everyone’s mind, saying, “I had a haircut! My hair? Did you think that I had ‘short’ short hair?”
Taehyung also played a few songs he liked, as he typically does during his live sessions, including Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red.”
After answering more questions, Taehyung finished the live session by sharing that he had to pull an all-nighter because he needed to travel far the next day.
Fans rejoiced that Taehyung’s gorgeous locks hadn’t disappeared yet, and he wasn’t heading to the military anytime soon. Funny phrases like “HE STILL HAS HAIR” and “HES NOT BALD” trended on X (formerly Twitter).
