On November 21, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced that BTS‘s RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were preparing to fulfill their mandatory military duties and had initiated the military enlistment process.
As ARMYs have been through this with Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, fans have fallen into the familiar pattern of waiting for the announcement of their official enlistment while looking for clues in the members’ social media posts and enjoying the content the BTS members release in the meantime.
Recently, BTS’s V uploaded a photo on his Instagram that caught fans’ attention. He posted a photo of his hair on the floor with an emoji indicating he had a haircut.
As BTS’s Jin and J-Hope had debuted freshly shaved heads shortly before their enlistment, fans were waiting to see if V was also preparing to debut a buzzcut.
Shortly afterward, hashtags such as “HIS HAIR,” “HE’S NOT BALD,” and “HE STILL HAS HAIR” began trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) as ARMYs reacted to BTS V’s actual hair “reveal” during his Weverse Live that occurred after he posted the photo.
Instead of getting a buzzcut, which many had suspected, V only got a trim, debuting his handsome new haircut while hilariously addressing netizens’ concerns about his haircut tease on Instagram.
