BTS member V has once again proven his overwhelming influence on global social media, solidifying his status as one of the world’s leading influencers.
According to rankings released by U.S.-based social media analytics firm HypeAuditor, V placed No. 2 on the “Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the World” list. Notably, he ranked No. 1 on TikTok under the same evaluation criteria, drawing significant attention.
V’s social media impact has continued to grow even during his military service. When BTS members launched their individual Instagram accounts on December 6, 2021, V reached 1 million followers in just 43 minutes and surpassed 10 million followers in 4 hours and 52 minutes, earning a Guinness World Records title. On January 13 this year, he became the first Korean male celebrity to exceed 70 million Instagram followers, with his posts averaging 12.5 million likes.
In July of last year, shortly after completing his military service, V ranked No. 3 among the world’s most influential influencers on Instagram, following soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. With active promotions for BTS’s new album ‘ARIRANG,’ V has now surpassed his previous record to rise to No. 2.
V’s TikTok account, which he launched on March 13, has also seen explosive growth. He surpassed 10 million followers in just 19 days, setting a new record for the fastest time among Korean male celebrities. He currently has 12.46 million followers on the platform.
