Jin is known to be a celebrity that preaches a thoughtful approach toward saving our ecological environment. He encourages fans to do their own part with his own example (from his daily life). Before becoming an idol, Jin even dreamed of being a newspaper reporter to highlight important issues, for example, the problems of socially disadvantaged people. Jin’s fans are also very active in helping not only disadvantaged people but also the environment.
There are two forests planted in honor of Jin in Indonesia and a forest in Seoul. The latter was made last year by the dedicated fans of Jin, who also got lots of aid from Seoul’s official authorities. The opening of the future forest was demonstrated on National TV as well. It was announced by The Seoul Environmental Federation themselves. They announced:
“To celebrate Jin’s birthday, we planted 10 horse chestnut trees near the event plaza of Hangang Park in Yeouido with about 500 Jin’s fans.”
The trees also have plaques with Jin’s songs! There are QR codes on them, so anyone could enjoy listening to them. They’ve also made a ‘Jin forest road‘ with 4 benches that you can enjoy sitting on. A donation to the Seoul Environmental Federation was made as well.
In the end, the General Assembly of the Seoul Environment Association selected the organizers of the project as the ‘People Who Made Seoul Beautiful in 2022“. And the ‘Jin Forest’ itself received the “Environmental Dimdol Award“! Jin’s good influence is an everlasting phenomenon!
