K-netizens are saying BTS’s RM is worthy of becoming the president someday after hearing his eloquent speech.
Many online community users are impressed with RM’s eloquence while delivering his acceptance speech, and fans have become proud.
On June 1, BTS’ leader RM was officially appointed as the public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s KIA (Killed In Action) Recovery and Identification Organization (MAKRI).
During the appointment ceremony, RM shared, “First of all, it is a sincere honor to serve such great people as the public relations ambassador for the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization. This year marks the 10th anniversary of BTS’ debut. Over the past 10 years, we have conveyed numerous messages through diverse songs and campaigns. However, I have often reflected on how to reciprocate the love that we’ve received from our Korean fans and fellow citizens.”
He continued, “It started with an interest in what I can do to express and represent my love for Korea and its culture. Visiting museums showcasing Korea’s traditional ancient art and modern, contemporary Korean art was integral to this personal exploration.”
RM added, “I sincerely believe that BTS and I can dare to be here in 2023 because there are many people who have worked hard in their respective positions until the country, which was devastated by the Korean War and more, prospered beautifully like this. We give you our infinite gratitude and respect.”
He continued, “Thankfully, I was offered the honorary ambassador for the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization, and I thought that the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization, which conveys a message of harmony and healing to everyone beyond disputes and conflicts, is what BTS wants to pursue in the future.“
RM eloquently explained what the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization does. He explained, “KIA Recovery and Identification Organization is known as an organization that carries out a precious and important work that excavates and recovers the remains of those who were killed in the Korean War and have them be reunited with their families.”
He added, “Excavating the remains of the fallen in war is a matter of respecting all those who gave their lives to defend the country and showing them the highest respect, so I feel a great sense of responsibility as well as pride (in becoming the public relations ambassador). I fully agree with the purpose of the organization that the state bears responsibility for those who sacrificed for the country to the end, and since it is a very important project for the country, I will do my best to publicize the meaningful activities performed by the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization at home and abroad with a great sense of duty.“
He continued by saying, “Lastly, I am honored and proud of myself because I was able to participate in meaningful work with the many people who participated in this event today. I will also work hard to become help to the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization even a little. Thank you.“
