Japan's Popular Travel Guidebook 'Rurubu' Features the Places BTS's V (Kim Taehyung) Visited on His DRIVE VLOG

By A.R.M.Y AllKpop 02/04/2023

Japan’s travel guidebook Rurubu introduced the restaurant in Yangpyeong that BTS member Kim Taehyung, aka V, visited, as well as pavilions along the Bukhangang River with beautiful scenery.

Rurubu is a travel guide published by Japan’s largest travel agency, which has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest travel guide series and has sold approximately 440 million copies to date.

In July 2022, BANGTAN TV posted Vlog content tailored to each member’s preferences. Taehyung shared his “DRIVE VLOG,” in which he drove without a specific destination while listening to music. He stopped at a scenic location to enjoy a meal and unwind, eventually arriving in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do.

Rurubu highlighted several sacred places that fans of BTS visit in South Korea and included Taehyung’s driving course, the ‘Yuri’s Beolgyo Cockle Korean D’hote’ restaurant he visited in Yangpyeong, and the pavilion where he took a break.

“Just a few months after appearing in V’s Vlog, it has already become a hot topic of conversation as a sacred place for ARMY. The restaurant is an attractive place where you can enjoy V’s pictures or eat where V was sitting.”   – Rurubu

“Since V’s visit, it has become a sacred place for ARMY worldwide. During our coverage, the restaurant was packed with fans, and V’s photos adorned the walls, creating an exciting atmosphere.”   – Rurubu

Taehyung’s enormous global popularity has given him significant influence in various cultural and artistic fields, including fashion and K-pop, establishing him as an “icon.”

Furthermore, when Taehyung’s fans learn of the places he visits, they often flock to those locations, leading him to play a crucial role as a tourism ambassador.
