Ten months after its release, Jimin‘s solo debut album ‘FACE‘ continues to be a major hit, setting numerous records in the music industry. This EP’s enduring popularity and demand are evident from its impressive performance on leading music platforms like iTunes and Spotify.
Recently, ‘FACE’ achieved the number one spot on both the Worldwide and European iTunes Album charts. This surge in popularity led to the EP reaching the top position in various countries, including first-time peaks in the UK, US, Germany, and others, as well as re-peaks in Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and more.
Remarkably, ‘FACE’ has now become the longest-charting album at number one by a K-pop act on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart, breaking a previous tie. It holds the unique distinction of being the first K-pop album to spend 15 days at the top of this chart, a record that has extended to 16 days.
In Europe, ‘FACE’ has been number one on the iTunes Album chart for 5 days. To date, it has spent 57 days on the Worldwide chart and 75 days on the European chart as of January 15. Jimin’s ‘FACE’ continues to captivate audiences globally, showcasing its extraordinary success and popularity.
Additionally, with all the new countries where ‘FACE’ attained #1, the EP has now reached #1 on iTunes Album charts in 80 countries and still counting!
In terms of streaming, ‘FACE’ surpassed 1.6 Billion streams on Spotify as of January 9. This was the 289th day after the album’s release, making it the first and only Korean album by a solo artist to reach this milestone in the history of Spotify.
This achievement has in turn prompted Jimin’s Spotify profile to surpass 2.6 Billion streams across all credits as of Jan 12.
