On July 22, BTS’s Jin took to Weverse, a fan community site, to engage with fans. One of his comments quickly caught the attention of Korean netizens and sparked an online discussion.
The comment came in response to a fan’s post pointing out that Jin seemed to be taking on more advertisements lately, especially in comparison to the other BTS members. Jin, known for his down-to-earth and honest personality, replied candidly to the fan. He wrote:
“Ah… It’s just that I did a lot of them. The other members have dozens, even hundreds, of ad offers too. They’re just choosing not to do them. I’ve turned down more than a few dozen myself… I think I won’t be taking on any more for now since I want to focus on the current one. (But if something suddenly comes along that I really like, I might change my mind.)”
Jin’s response comes shortly after he was announced as the new model for Dongwon Tuna. His latest comment made it clear that the other BTS members are not short on offers, but they are simply choosing to be selective.
This post quickly made its way to a popular Korean online community where fans and netizens shared their opinions on this. They commented:
“Why not…? Please do more ads, I’m begging you.”

“I really want to know which brands made offers.”
