HYBE has achieved a significant milestone in the South Korean entertainment industry by pioneering the establishment of an in-house clinic, equipped with a team of skilled medical professionals.
The clinic started running this year at HYBE’s Seoul Yongsan headquarters. Before that, since 2022, HYBE had a health management office where in-house nurses gave health advice and basic medical services. Now, they’ve upgraded by adding in-house doctors and nurses and creating a special place for medical care. This improvement is meant to offer better healthcare to their artists.
After the announcement of HYBE’s in-house clinic, Korean netizens have come across a doctor’s resume whom HYBE hired.
According to one netizen, “Dr. Kim Jun Ok currently works as a specialist in psychiatry. Graduating from the Seoul National University College of Music, he majored in psychology at Korea University and studied music neuroscience at KAIST. He completed his medical specialization at Chonnam National University Graduate School of Medicine.”
The netizen added, “When the job was posted, it mentioned the person they’re hiring needed both music and medical expertise. I wondered how they would find someone like that. But, seriously, they found them…“
