K-Pop "World Tours" That Are Actually WORLD Tours

By A.R.M.Y AllKpop 15/07/2023

Have you ever just gotten excited seeing your favorite K-Pop act announcing a “World Tour” only to see them going to a few stops, and they are mainly South Korea, Japan, and the US? Seeing Taylor Swift’s world tour list, now THAT’s what I call a world tour.

Thankfully, the K-Pop industry appears to be refining its interpretation of ‘World Tours,’ increasingly venturing into more diverse parts of the globe. This comes in tandem with the exponential globalization of K-Pop itself, a phenomenon that promises only to magnify further. To illustrate this global embrace, let’s delve into the journey of six K-Pop acts that have genuinely embodied the concept of a World Tour.

Eric Nam

You can always count on Eric Nam to go to every corner of the world to see you — or you see him. Look at how full this list already is, and he still has more to be announced soon!

BTS

Being the superstars and global sensations that they are, they have been doing really well by going to many stops around the world for their tour. Their 2017 The Wings tour had 40 shows, where they performed in 12 different countries, including Brazil, Australia, Japan, and the United States. For their Love Yourself World Tour, which was later extended to World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself, had them return to North America, Europe, and Asia while also including South America.

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is still currently on their second worldwide concert tour, Born Pink World Tour, but by the end of this tour, they will have completed a total of 62 shows, after performing in 21 countries across four continents. It will be one of the most successful girl group tours in history.

TWICE

JYP Entertainment’s girl group TWICE is also conquering the world with their fifth world tour, Ready to Be, as they are set to perform a total of 36 shows across Asia, North America, Oceania, and Europe. They just recently wrapped up the North American leg of their world tour.

ATEEZ

With the group’s third world tour, which came close after their second, (they spoil their fans too much!) ATEEZ’s The Fellowship: Break the Wall had them performing at 29 stops across five legs in North and South America, Asia, and Europe.

The Rose

After surprising fans with an amazing comeback and album, the band continued to spoil their fans by going on their second world tour, as they covered an impressive 20 countries across Asia, North and South America, Europe, and Oceania. They have also teased about going on another world tour with more stops with their new album! Can’t wait!
