A large-scale truck protest, which began outside the HYBE Labels building on May 2, continued for its 6th day on May 11 KST.

The truck protest was spurred on some time at the end of April after the exposure of a DC Inside, membership-based private fan community, which has allegedly been slandering the members of BTS and numerous other K-Pop idols through organized activities, including manipulating community activity, reporting false news to media outlets, inciting fan wars, etc.

The fan community was first exposed on April 27 by a netizen who claimed that they had been a member of the gallery for some time. The netizen claimed that they witnessed slander against the BTS members growing extremely severe day by day, and chose to leave the community in order to publicly expose its actions. The netizen further alleged that approximately 36 individuals were members of this private community, and they had participated in the manipulation of online activity aimed at targeting numerous other K-Pop idols, not just members of BTS.

As a result, ARMYs began a large-scale truck protest demanding that HYBE Labels respond with strong legal action against the members of this DC Inside community, which has since been closed down.

The protest signs read, “Punish those malicious gallery users who created and spread rumors, reported false and unconfirmed news to media outlets, and targeted the members of BTS for years!”, and “No more watching in silence! A company must protect its artists from criminals!”.

Furthermore, the protest signs harshly accused HYBE Labels of being “money crazed” and “failing to do the job of a management company”, strongly criticizing the “dynamic pricing” system implemented most recently during the sale of tickets for Agust D‘s ‘D-Day‘ world tour.
