Lim Young Woong’s ‘I’m Hero The Stadium‘ has surpassed BTS to become the highest-grossing concert film in Korean history.

According to the Korean Film Council, Lim Young Woong’s ‘I’m Hero The Stadium’ drew 3,795 viewers on October 19 across 47 screens nationwide, bringing its total to 343,334 viewers. This surpassed the previous record of 342,366 viewers set by BTS’s ‘Love Yourself in Seoul‘ in January 2019, which had held the title for the highest-grossing concert film.

‘I’m Hero The Stadium,’ which was released on August 28, showcases Lim Young Woong’s concert held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in May, which attracted over 100,000 fans. Prior to this, he had also released ‘I’m Hero The Final’ in March 2023.

Meanwhile, the box office success of ‘I’m Hero The Stadium’ has already made it the highest-grossing concert film purely based on revenue. As of October 19, the film has grossed approximately 9.7 billion KRW (~$7.08 million USD). It is now poised to become the first concert film to surpass 10 billion KRW in revenue.
