BTS‘s Jin, who enlisted on December 13 (KST) 2022, filmed a fun YouTube series, The Drunken Truth (also known as Jin’s Traditional Alcohol Journey), where he learned how to make alcohol, including traditional Korean rice wine, makgeolli, with veteran alcohol artisan Park Rok Dam and celebrity chef Baek Jong Won. He prepared both the show and alcohol as a gift to ARMYs.
Around the time of Jin’s enlistment, Park Rok Dam updated Facebook, sharing that he was making a new batch of alcohol while praying for Jin’s safe return from his military duties. Park made the liquor by himself, but a couple of days later, he also made more with Jin.

Park Rok Dam has now provided an update with Jin just a few months before his return.
He said more people signed up for traditional Korean alcohol-tasting events. Park Rok Dam credited Jin’s influence.
Fans of BTS’s Seok Jin are increasingly participating in experiences of brewing traditional Korean alcohol and tasting events. These events are becoming more frequent in various places such as Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Most of the event applications are for the schedules between May and June.
The influence of one person is significant.
This makes us reconsider the development and status of traditional Korean alcohol.

The veteran alcohol artisan also uploaded a photo of Jin. He was dressed in his uniform and making something.
Park Rok Dam posted another photo with Jin in January of this year. At the time, he was pouring alcohol into bottles.
