MONSTA X‘s I.M, SEVENTEEN‘s Woozi and Hoshi, and Kang Daniel all turned up in interview footage for the ‘2026 Ground Forces Festival’, and fans have started doing the math on a possible joint stage.
The festival’s official social media channels posted the video on July 14, walking through the interview process for participants across specialized fields including announcers, dancers, and musical performers. One soldier’s take on BTS’s “Run BTS” in the dance category pulled attention on its own.
The four idols, all currently on active duty, appear only briefly. Their interview results and whether they make the performance lineup have not been announced, so the joint stage remains a fan hope rather than a confirmed plan.
There is precedent, though. The ‘2023 Ground Forces Festival’ was hosted by actor Nam Joo Hyuk and put together a special army performance team drawn from enlisted entertainers, which is the kind of setup fans are picturing again.
As for the timelines: I.M and Kang Daniel both began service on February 9, 2026, and are due to finish on August 8, 2027. Woozi enlisted on September 15, 2025, with Hoshi following a day later on September 16. Woozi is scheduled for discharge on March 14, 2027.
