Netizens discuss the 3 biggest world tours of K-pop idols so far

By A.R.M.Y AllKpop 11/09/2023

Netizens are discussing the biggest K-pop world tours in history so far.

On an online forum, netizens are reacting to the figures of the top three world tours by idol group that have amassed well over a million audiences in total. Here are the groups, ranking from #3 to #1:

#3: Big Bang’s MADE tour (2015~2016). Number of seats sold: roughly 1,500,000 in total.

#2: BLACKPINK’s Born Pink tour (2022~2023). Number of seats sold: roughly 1,950,000 in total.

#1: BTS’s Love Yourself tour (2018~2019). Number of seats sold: roughly 2,020,000 in total.

Netizens are projecting that the next BTS tour for 2025 will be “even bigger.” They are also expressing their surprise that Big Bang has made such ticket sales earlier on in the mid-2010s, with higher sales than so many other K-pop idols currently in the scene. Some fans also “can’t believe” that the aforementioned BTS concert was “before the release of ‘Dynamite‘ and ‘Butter.'”

More comments include:

“Big Bang really is daebak…”
“Big Bang was that huge internationally?”
“For Big Bang to have sold that many tickets back in 2015-16 is just so crazy”
“Lol, what would YG think now”
“I can’t believe BLACKPINK sold that many seats”
“BLACKPINK really is the top out of all the girl groups regarding this”
“I wish BTS could have had their ‘Map of the Soul’ tour…they probably would have garnered over 3 million”
“Bring me back my Map of the Soul tour……………covid T_T”
“I wonder how big BTS’s 2025 tour will be…”
“I feel really bad for BTS because of Covid”
“I think BLACKPINK’s max was about 1,800,000?”
“I think BLACKPINK only sold about 1,800,000 in total but yes they are still the biggest out of all the girl groups”
