Shim Hyung Tak’s wife, Saya Hirai, who garnered much attention for resembling BTS’ Jungkook, apologized to Jungkook and his fans.
On June 3, Saya expressed her feelings on her social media about Jungkook mentioning her resemblance to him. She explained, “I am very surprised, grateful, and happy about what happened previously.” She continued, “To be honest, I don’t know much about Korean idols but among them, I really like BTS and from BTS, I like Jungkook the most. Shim (Hyung Tak) also doesn’t know too much about idols but he likes BTS too, and he’s a fan of Jungkook. So it feels like a dream for something like this to happen.”
Saya also shared, “It feels like a dream that the person who I am said to look like acknowledged that I look like him. Thank you.” She added, “To be honest, I was never told that I looked like Jungkook so I was so surprised. Also, I feel sorry for BTS and Jungkook fans. I am just really thankful that Jungkook was kind about what happened. I will continue to cheer for Jungkook and BTS.”
Earlier, Saya Hirai made headlines after appearing on TV CHOSUN‘s ‘Chosun’s Lover.’ Many viewers were surprised to see the uncanny resemblance between her and Jungkook.
