This ARMY finally got to meet BTS!
BTS made history last night at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs) as they picked up top awards, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, Favorite Pop Song, then became the first Asian artist to pick up the most anticipated Artist of the Year award.
They also performed the song of the summer “Butter” and their collaboration single with Coldplay “My Universe.” It was essentially a whole BTS event.
So, naturally, everyone lined up to meet the members, including other famous boy bands.
Actor and New Kids on the Block (also known as NKOTB) member Donnie Wahlberg was definitely anticipating seeing BTS last night.
He showed up to the AMAs red carpet dressed in none other than BTS merch! ARMY spotted a Love Yourself world tour T-shirt underneath his sparkly black blazer!

This wouldn’t be the first time he rocked BTS merch, either. One time, his band’s Instagram shared a photo of him wearing a different BTS T-shirt.

Another NKOTB member, Joey McIntyre, commented on the group’s post, revealing what it was like meeting BTS. He confirmed all our theories and even mentioned how he saw them while performing.
We know obviously, NKOTB are big fans of BTS, but it turns out BTS are just as much fans of their group as they are of theirs. BTS were in the audience enjoying NKOTB’s performance with New Edition, another legendary group.
