Choo Sung Hoon (also known by his Japanese name Yoshihiro Akiyama) appealed to global audiences with his appearance on Netflix‘s hit 2023 show Physical: 100, but he’s had a long history of entertaining and impressing the masses.
Choo Sung Hoon, also known by his nickname Sexyama, is a decorated mixed martial artist who has participated in the full-combat sport for nearly two decades.
While many know him from MMA or his UFC career, others know him as the dedicated father of Choo Sarang from when the father-daughter duo charmed audiences on the popular variety show The Return of Superman.
Most recently, audiences came to know and love him from the reality competition program Physical: 100, which gathered 100 physically fit contestants from various backgrounds to complete grueling challenges for a ₩300 million KRW (about $231,000 USD) prize.
The 47-year-old star mesmerized audiences with his strength, endurance, and leadership skills and hilariously earned endearing nicknames such as “GrandZaddy” and “silver fox.”
