Here’s what it became.
Back in March, K-Pop soloist Somi went on Instagram Live to tour the YG Entertainment building with fans. They had fun chatting with the “XOXO” singer, but one unforeseen mistake brought everything to a halt!

During the live, Somi accidentally opened the wrong door, and a then-unreleased track suddenly blasted out loud for everyone online to hear.
It didn’t take long for people to agree that it was BLACKPINK‘s Jennie singing a line from the group’s comeback song! Considering that it had been nearly two years since their last comeback, this was huge news and everyone was understandably excited.
Did somi just spoiled bp’s new song on her live ?

Now that BLACKPINK has finally released “Pink Venom,” fans suspect the line was changed to something else. This is because in the Instagram Live, Jennie originally sang, “No you can’t take me down.”

But in “Pink Venom,” it was Rosé singing instead, and the line was switched to Korean. “It’s tonight, I’m a flower with venom.”
In response, some believe that the English lyrics “sounded better.” Others, however, prefer the more meaningful Korean lyrics. They argued that it gave more depth to the song.
Fan opinions on the change of lyrics
For now, it’s unclear why they were even changed in the first place. Only one thing’s certain: it’s an incredible track that deserves multiple listens!
