According to a report by the Japanese weekly magazine Shūkan Bunshun, BTS leader RM, was observed smoking in areas where it is prohibited while staying in Tokyo’s Shibuya district.
The article states that during his visit to several venues in Shibuya including bars and izakaya style pubs, RM was seen smoking in multiple locations where smoking is not allowed, including streets marked with no smoking signs. It also alleges that he smoked in clearly restricted indoor areas such as building corridors and discarded cigarette butts in those spaces.
Witnesses cited in the report said that security staff at the scene reportedly warned him about his behavior. The publication also included several photographs presented as supporting evidence of the incident.
At present, neither HYBE, the management company of BTS, nor RM has issued an official statement regarding these claims. The allegations have not been independently verified.
