According to the box office chart, Box Office Mojo, ‘SUGA/ Agust D: Tour D-Day The Movie‘ was screened in 783 theaters across the United States and grossed an impressive $961,015 on its opening day. This was good enough to be the second highest-grossing film in the United States on April 10, just behind ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,’ which grossed $1,974,152.
This achievement reflects BTS SUGA’s global popularity and presence and shows that its fan base is widely spread across the United States.
In Korea as well, it recorded the highest movie reservation rate for a week before its release. Moreover, the special cold cup merch for ‘D-Day The Movie’ and ‘Goods TTT (That’s The Ticket)’ were sold out early on opening day.
The movie features SUGA’s solo performances along with duets and other performances with BTS members during his first solo tour. Above all, fans can vividly enjoy SUGA’s diverse music and performances in IMAX theaters, experiencing his concert through powerful immersive audio.
On April 21, a ‘Haegeum Screening’ will be held to commemorate the first anniversary of SUGA’s first solo album ‘D-DAY.’ Special posters will be given to the audience on that day.
