Epik High’s Tablo has voiced support for BTS’s decision not to submit their music for the upcoming Grammy Awards.
On July 29, Tablo shared a post from BTS’s RM on social media and added the message “ARIRANG>GRAMMYS,” referring to BTS’s full album ‘ARIRANG’ released earlier this year.
BTS announced the same day that they will not submit their music for consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards. “We hope music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language,” the group said. The announcement came after the Recording Academy introduced a new ‘Best Asian Pop Music Performance’ category.
Tablo and Epik High have long been close with BTS, with RM frequently citing Tablo as an influence, and the two collaborating on projects over the years.
