UMI‘s new single ‘wherever u r (ft. V of BTS)‘ has swept the global iTunes charts.
The single secured the top spot on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 89 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany immediately after its release. Thanks to this popularity, “wherever u r (ft. V of BTS)” also rose to the top of the Worldwide iTunes Song and European iTunes Song charts on the day of its release.
The featured video of the two artists’ singing, shared on UMI’s official social media, has also become a hot topic. Despite its short duration, the video, edited to showcase V and UMI singing in different spaces, effectively captures the message of ‘wherever u r.’
UMI previously described the song as one “for everyone separated by different times and places but in love. It reminds us that love is a frequency that can be felt regardless of distance.”
Meanwhile, “wherever u r (ft. V of BTS)” holds a special significance for BTS fans as it was released on December 30, V’s birthday.
