It is just time for the group’s ninth anniversary!
While we continue to wait for the return of BTS‘s variety show Run BTS!, we have a new show from the K-Pop group.
On Thursday, May 27, streaming service Apple Music announced the new show BTS Radio: Past & Present.
It will be just three episodes, released weekly, leading up to the release of BTS’s new anthology album PROOF on June 10. The format will also likely be similar to that of a podcast.
The limited series will focus on BTS’s musical journey. BTS will explain the group’s origins, musical style, and inspirations in Episode 1, while in Episode 2, they will select some of ARMYs’ favorite songs from them. According to ABC News, “BTS shows how the group ultimately achieved fame as global music sensations in the final episode on June 10.”
Leader RM spoke about why they chose to do the show, explaining it is also a way to celebrate the group’s upcoming ninth anniversary and honor fandom, ARMY. BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, with the release of their album 2 Cool 4 Skool and the title track “No More Dream.”
We wanted to use this radio show to celebrate nine years of BTS with you guys and with our ARMY all over the world. Every episode is dedicated to you, and we wanted to share the BTS songs that help tell our story.

BTS will also be making history with the release of BTS Radio: Past & Present. At this time, they are the first and only Korean artists to release an Apple Music show.
The first episode of BTS Radio: Past & Present will air on Apple Music 1 on May 28 at 6 AM (PDT)/10 PM (KST).
