In August 2024, SUGA was caught riding an electric scooter while intoxicated in Seoul. He failed a breathalyzer with a blood alcohol content reportedly as high as 0.227%, nearly three times the legal limit, and was fined roughly 15 million KRW (~11,500 USD), his license revoked.
In the recent concert video, SUGA was seen wearing a beaning, standing beside RM, Jimin, and V, and making a playful heart gesture over his head. Fans noted he rarely does this.
