BTS’s Jin and Jungkook made a surprise appearance on stage at J-Hope’s solo concert.
On June 13 at 7 PM KST, the first day of J-Hope’s world tour encore concert ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE FINAL‘ took place at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang. The two-day encore concert, held on June 13 and 14, welcomed a total of 54,000 attendees.
As the encore show opened with “Spring Day,” BTS’s oldest member, Jin, appeared on stage, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. Performing the song alongside J-Hope, Jin said, “I was watching from over there, and J-Hope looked so cool. I was honestly shocked. I even wondered if I should be up here and almost ran back home.”
J-Hope responded, “It’s such a special day, June 13, and Jin hyung is here. I’m so touched. He willingly agreed to join me on stage, and I’m so grateful. I just want to say thank you,” bowing his head. Jin replied, “I’m the one who’s thankful.”
J-Hope then asked, “How do you feel being back on stage, Jin hyung?” to which Jin confessed, “It’s been such a long time since I stood on a stage this big.” J-Hope remarked, “Didn’t Coldplay perform here too?” Jin replied, “I did perform here about a month ago, but standing in front of fans like this is so nerve-wracking all over again. I’m grateful for this opportunity.”
J-Hope continued, “No way, I can’t just let Jin hyung go like this. He has to do one more song.” He added, “It’d mean so much if you could perform something you want. I’m already thrilled you’re here.” Left on stage alone, Jin said, “It’s June 13, our debut anniversary. I felt like I had to perform today, so I straightforwardly asked Hobi to let me sing.” He then performed “Don’t Say You Love Me,” the title track from his upcoming mini album ‘Echo.’
Adding to the excitement, Jungkook also joined J-Hope on stage, making a surprise appearance. For his first official stage since military discharge, Jungkook performed “Seven,” with J-Hope joining him for the featured parts, showcasing their perfect chemistry.
At the end of Jin’s performance, Jungkook reappeared on stage and the trio performed their unit song “Jamais Vu” from the mini album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, marking the first time in five years they performed it together.
Though they didn’t perform, RM, Jimin, V, and SUGA were also spotted in the audience. When their faces appeared on the big screen, the stadium erupted with chants of “BTS!” J-Hope noted, “All the members are here. You’ve all worked so hard.”
