Ayo! Hitman Bang introduces…a new tattooed member of the HYBE family?
BTS‘s Jimin and Jungkook are two of this tatt squad’s founding members. Between them, they have over twenty tattoos, including homages to ARMY and BTS.
Jimin recently revealed two additions to his body art collection at BTS’s PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concert in Seoul.
In South Korea, tattoos are still considered taboo. Although it is not illegal to have tattoos, only medical professionals are, by law, permitted to give tattoos. As a result, many tattoo artists are working illegally from underground parlors or out of their own homes.
Tattoos have long been associated with criminal activity, but thanks to tattooed artists like BTS, that perception is beginning to change.
Now, it seems like HYBE’s founder, Bang Si Hyuk, might also be contributing to how tattoos are perceived. This multi-billion dollar business mogul flaunted what appears to be his first tattoo.
Big Machine Label Group, a subsidiary of HYBE America, recently signed the LA-based band Starcrawler. To mark the occasion, Bang Si Hyuk took a group photo with Starcrawler’s band members.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the ink on Bang Si Hyuk’s forearm. Unfortunately, the photo is too low quality to make out what that text says.
Hopefully, Bang Si Hyuk will gift us with a close-up in the future! Until then, check out Jimin’s latest tattoos here.
