Jin explains absence from BTS album credits, says more chances ahead

By A.R.M.Y AllKpop 16/04/2026

BTS’s Jin has personally addressed why he was not included in the credits for the group’s fifth full length album ‘Arirang,’ sharing a calm and thoughtful perspective.

In a Rolling Stone YouTube interview released on April 15 KST, Jin reflected on reuniting with the members after military service, saying he felt most at ease when working alongside them again.

Regarding his absence from the album credits, Jin explained that around 100 songs had already been prepared by the time he joined the process, with most of the work nearly complete. He participated in selecting and testing tracks for about a week to ten days but noted that his previously scheduled solo tour made it difficult to fully take part.

He admitted feeling some regret but emphasized that delaying the album for his participation would not have been the right choice. “It wouldn’t be honest to say I have no regrets, but if I had pushed for more time, the album release would have been delayed,” he said. “Considering the fans who were waiting, it was the best decision at the time. There are always more opportunities ahead.”

Jin also spoke about the challenges of being an idol in his mid 30s, acknowledging that while physical demands have increased, he continues to put in extra effort to deliver strong performances.

On the group’s identity, he shared that through discussions, the members concluded that “what we do defines who we are,” highlighting their commitment to telling their own stories.

Looking ahead, Jin expressed that meeting fans remains his top priority, adding that he hopes to travel to more countries over the next five years to connect with them directly.
