BTS J-Hope‘s official motion picture for “NEURON” featuring Gaeko and Yoonmirae tells a story of people coexisting in a world who are living their own independent lives, but are connected through small moments that bring us together as humans.
Observant fans quickly made connections to the story of another BTS member, Suga.
During the video, “NEURON” depicts a young man riding his bike as a delivery boy.
Carrying his cooler with him as he bikes around town, this image a food delivery boy on a bike reminded ARMYs of Suga‘s own story — both in real life and retold in the music video of “AMYGDALA.”
Prior to debut, Suga worked part-time as a delivery boy. The “AMYGDALA” music video also follows Suga as he rides his bike to make a delivery.
However, as many fans know, Suga got into an accident while making a delivery and badly injured his shoulder, which caused him to ultimately undergo surgery many years later in 2020.
The accident not only brought him pain for many years, but was also connected to a cycle of traumatic experiences he had experienced around the same time.
Meanwhile, later in the video, “NEURON” shows the delivery boy off his bike on the road with the wheel still spinning and his helmet off, indicating that he has also been in a car crash.
Fans quickly caught onto the similarities between the two stories. Additionally, both videos deal with themes of small moments making a big impact on our lives.
