The “wine connoisseur” has made a comeback with a shocking price tag!
When it comes to the members of BTS, they have seen their fame skyrocket and, after going from a group at a company near bankruptcy, have helped HYBE become of the most successful companies. All their hard work has meant that the members have never been afraid to enjoy the finer things that have come from their success.
Well, the same can also be said about BTS’s V. The idol gained attention last month after going to New York for private schedules.
When he returned, V shared a post on Weverse explaining how he had returned safely and promised fans that he had taken a lot of photos and would “Post them soon.”
As promised, V recently returned to Instagram and shared photos and videos of his time in New York. In the photos, V seemed to be having the best time as he took some time off and away from his schedule to enjoy wandering around the city and visiting different places.
He also shared some photos and videos of going to what seemed like a jazz bar, which is something netizens know V loves.
Yet, one photo stood out the most, and it was a photo of V holding a fancy bottle of wine.
According to sources online, V was drinking an expensive 1908 D’Oliveiras Boal Madeira vintage wine. Although the costs can vary depending on the age and variations, the brand is known to retail at a minimum of $800 USD, and the particular bottle V was drinking has even gone up to almost $1500 USD.
When ARMYs tried to find the wine, they saw it was sold out. According to one fan, although many believe it was due to V’s influence, they pointed out that it was actually an extremely rare wine. It was impossible to find due to the scarcity in stores as they are some of the oldest and most complex wines.
Yet, it isn’t the first time V’s taste in alcohol has gained attention from ARMYs, despite the price. Back in September 2021, V posted a picture of himself and some win on the group’s Twitter page.
Although the 2001 Château Margaux that V shared in the photo cost over $600 USD and reached as high as $2,350 USD, fans wanted to get their hands on the brand’s wine so badly that they bought the next best thing. In five minutes, so many ARMYs got their hands on the 1992 Château Margaux that it immediately sold out.

Although it isn’t sure whether V posting about the wine had any influence on people buying the product, it definitely shows that the idol is a true “connoisseur” when it comes to wine. Hopefully, V enjoyed his time in New York as he definitely seemed to be living his best life.
