At this year’s Seoul Music Awards, boy group BTS took home 4 awards.
Specifically, on January 23, the 31st Seoul Music Awards was held at Gocheok Sky Dome with MCs including Seolhyun, Boom and Kim Seong Joo of AOA.
The Seoul Music Awards were first presented in 1990 and are held annually by Sports Seoul to recognize outstanding achievements in the Korean music industry.
Nominations are chosen by counting 20% mobile votes, 10% Sports Seoul popularity polls, 40% digital downloads and album sales, and 30% points of the examiner. The popularity award alone is determined 100% by a popularity poll.
